How do I use my Activ Visa™ eGift Cards?
To start, unlock your Activ Visa™ eGift Card with the 4-digit pin found in the card's details.
For online shopping:
The Activ Visa™ eGift Cards can be used in-store or online wherever Prepaid gift cards are accepted and not limited for use at selected merchants.
- Select your chosen brand or retailers and add items to your cart.
- At checkout, select ‘Credit’ and enter the card details (card number, expiry and security code).
- Follow the retailer’s checkout process to complete the transaction.
For in-store shopping:
- Add your Activ Visa™ eGift Cards to your digital wallet, Or, enter the details manually at checkout.
- Activ Visa™ eGift Cards can be added to your digital wallet or you can enter details manually at the checkout.
Note: If the value of the purchase is more than the amount of the gift card, you can supplement the remaining cost with other payment methods.
Do I need to activate my Activ Visa™ eGift Cards in order to use it?
Yes. Recipients will be required to complete a simple form on the activation page before using the card.
Where can I use my Activ Visa™ eGift Cards?
You can use your Activ Visa™ eGift Cards anywhere in Australia that accepts Visa gift cards. Some online merchants do not accept Visa gift cards, so make sure you confirm online stores’ eligibility before making a purchase.
How can I check my card balance or view my transaction history?
Check your balance or transaction history by visiting https://www.cardbalance.com.au/ or by calling 1800 985 841.
When does my Activ Visa™ eGift Cards expire?
Activ Visa™ eGift Cards are valid for 3 years.
How do I add an Activ Visa™ eGift Card Gift Card to my mobile Wallet?
Activ Visa™ eGift Cards can be added to your Apple, Samsung, or Google mobile wallet. To add your eGift Card to your mobile wallet follow the steps below:
- Go to the Wallet app on your mobile device.
- Click on the plus icon.
- Select Debit or Credit card on the next screen.
- Enter your card details.
- Your card has now been added to your mobile wallet.
What happens if I need to return something purchased using my Activ Visa™ eGift Cards?
Each merchant will handle returns as per their own policies and may issue a cash refund or store credit. A merchant may also choose to return the refund amount onto the card. (Subject to individual merchants policies).
Can I reload or transfer funds to my Activ Visa™ eGift Cards?
No. Activ Visa™ eGift Cards are not reloadable.
Can I use my Activ Visa™ eGift Cards to make purchases in international currencies?
Yes, you can. However, transactions made in currencies other than Australian dollars will be converted into Australian dollars before being deducted from your card balance.
Currency Conversion fee of 3.5% applies for foreign currency transactions. There is no guarantee that the Card will be accepted in Europe, Middle East and Africa (‘EMEA’).
I have a small balance left on my Activ Visa™ eGift Cards. How can I use it?
You can use your remaining balance at most online retailers, once your purchase amount is lower than or equal to your remaining balance on your Activ Visa™ eGift Cards. Alternatively, some retailers offer split payment in-store.
Can I use my Activ Visa™ eGift Cards to withdraw cash?
No. You cannot use your Activ Visa™ eGift Card to withdraw cash at ATMs or POS terminals.
